Alieni in laguna

Alieni in Laguna (Aliens in the Lagoon) is a theatrical performance that explores the impact of alien species on local and global biodiversity. It highlights the role of climate change and human intervention in their spread, while delving into a bestiary of invasive creatures that now inhabit our ecosystems – from the Blue Crab invading our lagoons to the Wels Catfish, which has become endemic in the Po River.

With his distinctive ability to shift between comedy and drama, Andrea Pennacchi brings to the stage a narrative that moves between the magic of memory and the harsh reality of climate change, between nostalgic past and an ever-changing present.

The stories of these alien species become a powerful metaphor for social and cultural conflicts, inviting the audience to reflect on the very concept of the “alien” and the urgent need to redefine our relationship with the environment.
